Foreign Languages
USF Professional and Workforce Development foreign language courses are designed to help you get the most out of your travel and professional experiences. These courses will:
- Immerse you in the language
- Help you develop the basic speaking, listening, reading and writing skills used in travel and business
- Build your confidence in speaking through interactive classroom activities and projects
- Acquaint you with the culture and social customs
- Create a learning environment in which individual needs can best be served
Our writing classes cover Spanish stylistics, rhetoric, spelling, grammar and vocabulary to help you write with greater ease and accuracy. Our Business Spanish classes can help government, social service and business professionals develop language skills needed in real-life situations. Please Note: Introductory courses (Level I) are designed for individuals who have basic or no knowledge of the language. Intermediate courses (Levels II, III, and IV) are designed for individuals who have learned the fundamentals of the language and want to enhance their fluency and accuracy.
